ANTIQUE PAIR OF JADE EAR ORNAMENTS
These 1-7/8" L X 1-7/16" W matched pair of carved, thin, pale green jade plaques Ca.1200-1000 B.C having incised carvings, each showing a crested bird's head with open work mouth. each perforated at the back of the head for suspension, one with a perforation above the bird eye. Both are intact and in excellent condition. It was common practice in antiquity to recycle and re-carve broken jade pieces objects.
